[Users] Keep Alive
From: Francesco <freeswan(at)colliniconsulting.it>
Date: Fri Oct 10 2003 - 14:34:02 EDT Hello, i have succesfully established a Linux/FreeSWAN-1.99 to Zyxel Prestige 652R VPN lan-to-lan connection... i have got a little problem... if the user do not generate any kind of traffic for half an hour (about!!!), the VPN link goes down and then when he generate traffic return working fine; if i have a RDP sesion opened this can cause me some problems to the session, because it goes down... on the Zyxel i have selected the "keep alive" option... is there a way to select, in the ipsec.conf file, a way to keep alive the connections even though they do not generate any kind of traffic for lots of time?? I have scheduled a batch process that pings from an Internal server the remote Zyxel, but if no traffic is generated between the tunnel the VPN still goes down! Thank you for your kind interest, best regards!
