hello,

i am using openssl(OpenSSL 0.9.6b [engine] 9 Jul 2001) for generating certificates and using them with freeswan(Linux FreeS/WAN U1.99/K1.96). i want to know the maximum limit of days for which a certificate can be generated.
i am using following commands:

--> For certificate request :

$openssl req -config /usr/share/ssl/openssl.cnf -new -keyout newreq.pem -out newreq.pem

--> For certificate signing :

$openssl ca -config /usr/share/ssl/openssl.cnf -policy policy_anything -out newcert.pem -days 365 -in newreq.pem

i have given 365(1 year) days for certificate validity. I want generate certificate with 36500 days(100 years),is it possible ????

thanx in advance
regards
