Re: [Users] VPN tunnel won't start unless I initiate an ICMP/Ping
From: Adrian W <adrianw(at)telus.net>
Date: Tue Apr 13 2004 - 15:43:53 EDT I think I found the problem. It seems that I had to add static routes on the Windows system, because it wasn't doing it dynamically, unless I did an ICMP/Ping. This problem never occured on any UNIX/Linux system, so I couldn't really put my finger on the problem. I have static routes on the Free/SWAN router, but I guess that didn't do it for the Windows Active Directory Server. Anyways, I'm going to look into this further, and find out why it's not adding dynamic routes. Once again, thank you if you took the time to read this message. If you have any idea why my windows box isn't adding dynamic routes unless I do an icmp/ping that would be helpful =) FYI: ICMP redirects are enabled on the Free/SWAN and Windows Server.
