use ndb_size.pl (grab the version from the latest 5.1... it still gives you 5.0 results too... and likely more accurate ones) for an idea of what is using up space.

This will be because of running 32bit somewhere. Run 64bit binaries on 64 bit OS (of course, on 64bit hardware).

Or you can get around this and run more than one data node per machine... but there can be a performance penalty.
