What concernes me most is the added latency caused by end-to-end encryption in a VPN. AFAIK timing is very important for smooth communication between the NDB nodes so I would not recommend such a setup for a production environment. If you don't mind the question, why would you need it anyway? If you have access to the physical network, just set up a dedicated connection. If you don't, I'd suspect the link to be too slow for a NDB cluster anyways...
