problem starting second data node

Mycluster (5.0.18) was down after a very devastating power failure.

When it was back, i was able to start data node1 but when starting data node2 the process stop at startphase5 and le tthe data node1 down.

I did a backup. But i would like to start the node2 without duing a restore. In a situation where node1 is running MAY I USE --initial to start datanode2??? or it let erease also the data on node1?????
