Deepak,

And your point? I still argue that it's not necessarily a requirement to (1) Implement the API at all and (2) that you _have_ to have an XML data type for this API to work "okay" or be useful.

There's nothing in the specification itself or the compliance tests that _require_ SQL2003:XML support for this API to be implemented.
