The most likely reason is that you are not trying to connect with the same host, user or password. You will need to give more details if you want help resolving this.

When you say you cannot connect, how do you know that? Do you get an error message?

You need to tell us exactly what you did and what happened, then we should be able to help you resolve it.

I'm using mysql as my sql server. I have installed mysql server,mycc and myodbc on my machine. When I connect to my database through myquery browser it will open my database and it shows that mysql server is running but I cannot connect to my database through any application like Mycc,Delphi and so on.

Please advise me what my problem is.
