ERROR 1568

From: Orton, Steve <steve.orton(at)ngc.com>

Hello,

I have a problem that came up when upgrading my server from version 5.1.7 to 5.1.17. When trying to connect to the databases on my server via the "MySQL Manager" tool, I get the following error:

"ERROR 1568 (HY000): Cannot proceed because the tables used by events were found damaged at server start"

I also get this when I try to select * from "information_schema.events".

While upgrading, I ran the "mysql_upgrade" script and things seem OK. I can access my data on the DBs, but I would guess my events functionality is hosed (I don't have a need for this).

To try to fix this problem, I restored the "mysql" database, but cannot restore the "information_schema" database (I have no permission to do this even as the root DB user).

Can anybody shed some light on this?

Do you need help?X

Thanks in advance...steve o
