Thanks Warren,

I had to increase column 'item' from char(20) to char(22) - "Nuerenberger Bratwurst" is 22 characters ;) , but then it worked

I have probably tinkered too much with my code in the mean time. I will have it correct some day, I will, I really will, you have to believe me *-* X-p
