MySQL++ and Gentoo

I'm using G++ 4.1.2 (Gentoo 4.1.2 p1.0.2) How can I get MySQL++ to work with g++ in gentoo with little to no effort? Emerging and compiling doesn't seem to work as you would expect:

This is trying to compile one of the simple examples right after emerging...
