Hi,

> Is there any way to monitor a nfs mount point using nagios?

i made a plugin which i call check_mounts. It performs the following checks:

  • compare vfstab to mnttab and check if all filesystems flagged with boot=yes are really mounted
  • check if mountpoints listed in vfstab exist
  • check for stale nfs file handles
  • lets you blacklist filesystems with a config file

It was written for solaris and comes with no documentation. But if a certain number of you are interested, i could polish it a bit, add support for other os and make it available for download.

Greetings from munich,
Gerhard
