Why would we tell you how to use a non-ubuntu solution to a problem you _know_ is handled in ubuntu?

That's "multiverse", and if it was enabled, you wouldn't be getting that message, therefore it isn't enabled.

Did you do "aptitude update", or equivalent, first?
