hpijs-ppds update appears stalled in "preparation"

hpijs-ppds (2.1.9+0.9.9-1) unstable; urgency=low

...appears to be stalled in "preparing..." -- "Adept Updater" is just sitting there not using any cpu any longer.

So what should I do? just kill it? Is there any cleanup necessary? I really can't afford to have my printing messed up.

Perhaps I'm unnecessarily on the bleeding edge here with getting an "unstable" package installed? Should I roll back to a more stable install of the "hpi" printing packages? How would I do that if so?

As it is I can print fine on my 1320 laserjet, but I have been unable to get my network-connected d155xi ink jet to work. (that's probably a separate question).

thanks,

=JeffH
