Date: Fri Jun 24 2005 - 19:36:17 EDT The only reason I can think of, at the moment, that SDNV's would be better is that you know how long the number is after looking at the first octet. With ASN.1-style numbers, you have to scan the entire number to figure out how long it is. I sincerely doubt that this is a big deal though.
