Thank you for you answers.
I write from Madrid, Spain.
For my graduation project, I'm collaborating with EHAS (Spanish-American Health Link), a non-profit institution, created by people at UPM and ISF, another NGO. More information can be found at http://www.ehas.org. It would be great to work with more people, if you find it interesting. As you said, Kevin, one of our first questions was which span a convergence layer like this would have. A graduation project at my school is about six months long, but I don't have full dedication to it, as I also work for a company not related to the project. Anyway, it seems that the convergence layer wouldn't require so much time; it could be complemented with some sort of appliance of DTN technology to some distributed applications developed by EHAS and currently based on email.
