Artefaktur Component Development Kit 4.02.0 http://freshmeat.net/releases/127664/

    ACDK is a development framework with a similar target of Microsoft's     .NET or Sun's ONE platform, but it uses C++ as a core implementation     language. It implements the standard library packages, including     acdk::lang, acdk::lang::reflect, acdk::util, acdk::io, acdk::text
(including regexpr), acdk::net, acdk::sql, acdk::xml, and more.
    Flexible allocator/garbage collection, threading, and Unicode are     implemented in the core of ACDK. Extensions make C++ objects available     for reflection, serialization, aspect-oriented class attributes, and     [D]ynamic [M] ethod [I]nvocation. This DMI acts as an universal object     oriented call interface to connect C++ with scripting languages (Java,     Perl, Tcl, Python, Lisp, Visual Basic, and VBScript) and standard     component technologies (CORBA and COM).

It can be used for IP accounting (using iptables, you can     design various kinds of accounting filters), SNMP monitoring (collects     data making SNMP requests), IP monitoring (using ping, it stores and     summarizes values like min, avg, max reply time, and packet loss), and     client traffic filtering (using various types of filters). It also     provides user based access so that every user can log in and check the     traffic from/through his/her IP addresses. It requires PostgreSQL,     Apache with mod_auth_pgsql, Perl(Net::SNMP), and RRDTool.

convmv 1.02
http://freshmeat.net/releases/127675/

    convmv converts filenames (not file content), directories, and even     whole filesystems to a different encoding. This comes in very handy if,     for example, one switches from an 8-bit locale to an UTF-8 locale. It     has some smart features: it automagically recognises if a file is     already UTF-8 encoded (thus partly converted filesystems can be fully     moved to UTF-8) and it also takes care of symlinks. Additionally, it is     able to convert from normalization form C (UTF-8 NFC) to NFD and     vice-versa. This is important for interoperability with Mac OS X, for     example, which uses NFD, while Linux and most other Unixes use NFC.     Though it's primary written to convert from/to UTF-8 it can also be     used with almost any other charset encoding. Note that this is a     command line tool which requires at least Perl version 5.8.0.

For example, if you have 15GB of audio files     on a workstation and 3GB of space for them on a laptop which     occasionally goes somewhere with a lot more bandwidth available, the     FluffyCache system makes it simple to synchronize your laptop's     downloads to the workstation while randomly rotating the selection of     audio files on the laptop within the available space. It can work with     any file type, as well, such as movies, images, and so on. There are no     proprietary protocols; it is written in Bourne shell with a small C     utility, and the only external tools required are wget (for the client)     and a Web server which can run CGI programs (for the server).
