Turck MMCache is a PHP Accelerator, Optimizer, Encoder and Dynamic Content Cache. It increases performance of PHP scripts by caching them in compiled state, so that the overhead of compiling is almost completely eliminated. Also it uses some optimizations for speed up of PHP scripts execution. Turck MMCache typically reduces server load and increases the speed of your PHP code by 1-10 times. It has been tested with PHP 4.1.0 - 4.3.3 under Linux and Windows with Apache 1.3 and 2.0. Support for incomlete classes in mmcache_get() was implemented. Checking of proper PHP version was added. include('x.php'); include_once('x.php') bug with php-4.3.3 was fixed. Improper "Cannot redeclare ()" error was fixed. Caching of files with absolute path but without drive on Windows was fixed. This release was tested with PHP 4.3.3 and php5-200309021330.

Linux Crypto Packages Demolished
SiliconEntity writes "Cryptographer and security expert [0]Peter Gutmann has [1]demolished several Linux security software packages in a recent posting to the [2]cryptography mailing list. He says, 'It's possible to create insecure 'security' products just as readily with open-source as with closed-source software. CIPE and vtun must be the OSS community's answer to Microsoft's PPTP implementation. What's even worse is that some of the flaws were pointed out nearly two years ago, but despite the hype about open-source products being quicker with security fixes, some of the protocols still haven't been fixed.'" Chinese government that [1]their attempt to create regional standards
for computers and communications, including standards using Linux-based

protect local companies and markets in the short term, [but] it would
make it more difficult for Asian companies to participate in world
