Re: $200 PC

I have been playing with the Emachines. They are a bit pricier (~ $400 entry level), but in all a good buy for low-end uses. I have a couple which have been in service for the last 2-3 years (one with stock win98 and one with obsd 3.1). I have yet to lose a drive or power supply in them.

Currently I have a brand new T1742 running 3.2 -STABLE. I only briefly tried getting X to run. Video card didn't seem to be recognized immediately and I didn't care enough to investigate further in this case.

Oh yeah, I did throw an extra 128MB in.
