At the end of the day, while your goals are valid, you are looking at OpenBSD as a product and not a platform.

I believe - but I do not formulate - that the reason the current licensing changes are happening and the requirement to be truly 'free' is to provide this platform to those who can take in and build whatever products they want.

If someone sees value in your requirements, they will happily sell you a product. Your choice which product - remember, you get what you pay for.
