System : OpenBSD 3.1 Architecture: OpenBSD.i386 Machine : i386 >Description: ppp is being run in multilink mode with 2 modems if an individual line is dropped, the redial happens ok if both lines are dropped simultaneously (eg session timeout) the connection is restored, however the link is inactive and no traffic is seen to cross the ppp link. ppp can be killed and restarted and everything functions normally (until the next disconnection) >How-To-Repeat: /etc/ppp.conf is as follows

ppp is run as: ppp -ddial pmdemand The redial/reconnect settings are academic. It still happens whether or not they are there. >Fix:
