NIC Issue.

I'm not sure if this is where I should send this problem, but I've checked as many sites as I could with regard to this problem and couldn't get a resolution so here goes.

The Problem: Trying install OpenBSD 2.9 & OpenBSD 3.0 to make this into a NAT Router. When attempting to install OpenBSD, I get the following message:

xl0 at PCI0 Dev 13 function 0 "3com 3c905 100Base-TX" rev 0-00 pci_intr_map: no mapping for pin A: couldn't map interrupt.

Now I've setup over 30 OpenBSD 2.9/3.0 NAT -Routers with little or no difficulty. This one has me and 5 very experienced colleagues totally in the dark. We can however successfully install Linux Red Hat 7.0,7.1,7.2 with the same configuration. Same with Win9x, NT and 2K as well as Solaris 7 so at this point we are convinced that it is not a hardware issue.

We have manually configured the NICs for standard interrupts such as 5, 10 & 11 (these IRQs are not being used), to no avail.

System:
Compaq Presario 2286,
128 MB ram,
Sound And USB disabled,
4-GB hard disk,
1 floppy and 1 CD ROM
3Com 3c905 100Base-TX (and I've tried 6 different cards)

I don't necessarily want to go back to using Red Hat for firewall solutions as I've spent a great deal of time learning, promoting and using OpenBSD.

Any suggestions of help would be greatly appreciated.

Do you need help?X
