with 100 mbps xl0 lan card
who is set to 100 mbps full-duplex, and standart ftpd daemon my upload speed from one
windows XP with 100 mbps lan card is 1800-1900 kb/s max.
In same switch i have another linux server with proftpd, 100 mbps lan card why is set to 100 mbps full-duplex. and my upload speed from
windows pc to linux box is 5800-6200 kb/s. (upload with ftp)
I change lan card, cable, ftpd to proftpd .. but result is ... zero.
Any body have any ideas what is problem?
or may be obsd can not work good with large traffic?
obsd server is p4 2 GHz, 3com NIC, 512 mb ram, 30 GB hdd
linux server is p3 1 GHz, realtec 8139 NIC, 128 mb ram, 10 GB hdd.
- paste from dmesg ---
xl0 at pci0 dev 12 function 0 "3Com 3c905 100Base-TX" rev 0x00: irq 11 address 00:60:97:92:58:1e
nsphy0 at xl0 phy 24: DP83840 10/100 media interface, rev. 1
- end paste ---
I change 6 NIC cards (all 3com 3c905) but problem exist
After 6-7 hours work, my server say in logs:
arpresolve: can't allocate llinfo
I remember that this problem i have under obsd 2.8 or 3.x (i dont remember exact version) and
samo people from this mailing list say me to increase
NMBCLUSETER and so on, i increase and recompile kernel
and work fine under old obsd version, but now for 3.2 i see
this message and i dont know how to fix it, because this parameters i sucessful changet in my kernel, recompile and reboot (many times).
Any body have any ideas about my problems with my obsd 3.2?
Regards,
Condor
P.S. Sorry of my bad english.
