I'm running OpenBSD 3.2-stable and i installed kde-3.0.5a, everything
works fine except 'kdm' when running it, it starts X and then nothing
happens, no login prompt, no nothing, just a plain X background and a
mouse curror.. I checked the config files, nothing seems to be wrong,
also I tried enablind and disabling autologin, nothing.
I tried to completly remove the package and reinstalling it, it didnt
help, My system was newly installed so even tried to reinstall the
system, maybe something is wrong somewhere else... it didnt change
anything... Eventually i tried to compile the kdebase package myself
from the ports tree, same problem with kdm...
xdm works fine, X works fine, KDE works fine just kdm isnt
checking /var/log/kdm.log shows that it says some error about cannot
using the Speedo/ fonts dir and removing it from list..
I forgot to mention that i didnt change anything in the X and KDE
default config files, also the PATH is okay and includes both
/usr/local/bin and /usr/X11R6/bin...
