i386/3109: Incompatible hardware
From: <dantams(at)myrealbox.com>
Date: Tue Feb 25 2003 - 07:47:15 EST
System : OpenBSD 3.2 Architecture: OpenBSD.i386 Machine : i386 >Description: I have a machine with an Intel 815 family chipset. It has an 82815E/82815EP type memory controller and an 82801BA (ICH2) I/O controller. It won't boot from the 3.2 install disk. Following is what shows on the screen:
---begin quote----
>Fix:
>Release-Note:
At this point it simply freezes. I tried the floppy on other computers, where it worked fine, so it's not a faulty floppy. Obviously I am unable to do a dmesg in OpenBSD, but I have been able to do a dmesg in RedHat on the same machine, which I will atta ch here:
---begin dmesg---
