spamd stopping boot

Release: OpenBSD 3.3 (GENERIC, i386) I misconfigured my network (wrong path to ppp in rc.local), but set spamd="".
Now spamd prevents my machine from booting up properly. Instead of just giving an error ("Could not retrieve filter-rules"), the machine hangs, trying to get the filter-rules via ftp.
