Hi,

I tried to reproduce this on -current: I untarred a tar file containing both char en device special nodes on a ext2fs, but did not succeed in causing the panic. Special files are created OK. Tried a gentoo stage1 file too, same result.

If anyone can reproduce this problem, please report.
