3.2 crashing/freezing on sparc 5

I sent this to the wrong email the other day, so I apologize if any of you are seeing this again ....

Hello,

I received my 3.2 CD today and happily installed it on a sparcstation 5. I have been having some issues with it locking up and not responding though. This last time, the last thing I did was to type "vi .tvwmrc" from the home directory on my user account. Then the screen just locked up and I was also not able to get a ping response from other hosts on my network (I can normally get a ping response).

A few changes that I have made to the system are as follows:

• in the /etc/rc.conf file, I set xdm_flags="" to get xdm to start on bootup.
• in the user "me" home directory, I copied the file: /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fvwm/system.fvwm2rc to /home/user/.fvwmrc
• added the user to the wheel line in the /etc/group file so that I can su.

Where am I to find information on my system that I can send in, and what information should I be looking for on my system to help resolve this issue?
