/var/log/failedlogin and OpenSSH

Seeing as 'failedlogin' is now going to be included in 3.3 by default, are there any plans to support it in OpenSSH? I've tried it out on 3.2 and it doesn't appear to work after creating the file and huping sshd.

I noticed a cvs commit has been made for portable openssh (http://bugzilla.mindrot.org/show_bug.cgi?id=349) but can't find any mention of it for OpenBSD in the list archives.
