upgrade to 3.2 from 3.0

I'm attempting to upgrade to 3.2 from a 3.0 distribution. I've gone over every change listed in the FAQ for upgrading considerations a few times over, including the 2.9 to 3.0 changes (my server was upgraded from 2.9 a few months ago).

Success in the following steps : downloaded and unpacked the latest snapshot to / ; cvs checkout -P -rOPENBSD_3_2 src ; modifications to users/groups; built and installed mtree from 3.2 ; installed src/share/mk ; moved ssh config files; updated ssh config files, rc; rebuild gcc as per section 1.8 of the mini-faq; installed new binutils; updated crontab, S/Key, lp, removed atrun from crontab; and successfully build a new GENERIC kernel.

I've also modified file permissions as per Theo's 'suid situation' file in the misc archives from sept 4 /02, which fixed my su problem when trying from priviledged users other than root.

I'm still having a problem with ssh however. As a normal user I can ssh just fine, however ssh'ing as root turns up an error. No, I don't usually login as root, but when su was broken I was hoping to be able to open root ssh access temporarily to get things fixed. No go at the time, so now the server's in my bedroom with me. My sshd_config file does permit root logins and also does list root as an allowed user. The error I'm getting is sshd[####]: fatal: buffer_get: trying to get more bytes 4 than in buffer 0

I've searched to find out what this problem is, but with no luck. If it has been covered a thousand and 1 times, what search terms do you use to find it, because buffer_get returns nothing.

Another problem I've been noticing is suexec on httpd. I'm getting the error 'warning no suexec wrapper around virtualhost' which worked fine before and I am passing the -u option to httpd in rc.conf. Is suexec not installed in httpd by default anymore?

Thanks in advance,
