awi0 at pcmcia 0 function 0 "AMD, Am79C930, ": AMD AM79C930 : irq 3awi0: failed to complete selftest (timeout) awi0: failed to attach controller This card is not broken, it works in another system. When I unplug and re-insert the card while the system is running I get:
awi0 at pcmcia 0 function 0 "AMD, Am79C930, ": AMD AM79C930

and none of the 3 lights on the card come on (although they do flicker when the card is plugged in) I don't know much about how to configure wireless cards in OpenBSD because I have not gotten any to work yet :) But when I try 'ifconfig awi0 192.168.1.184 netmask 255.255.255.0 up' the whole system hangs and I cannot get it back without a manual reboot. Does this seem like the card is not compatible with this laptop? It is not a cardbus card and my laptop does not support cardbus I guess. Do you still need cardbus support to run this card? I am lost. Thanks, Will Received on Tue Dec 31 15:06:35 2002 This archive was generated by hypermail 2.1.8 : Wed Aug 23 2006 - 13:32:13 EDT |
