Hi,

I'm thoroughly confused...

I just compiled apache2 from apache.org, no problems just with ./configure and make install (by the way, why isn't there a port for this? it works fine... I'll post a separate mail to ports@openbsd.org and see if someone is on this)

I searched the /usr/ports and couldn't find apache, nor in any pkg that's why I installed it myself. I want a web server to test my site.

So in my idiocy I installed apache2, modified httpd.conf and ran localhost in konqueror. Lo and behold! Apache 1.3 openbsd is already installed!

Very bizaree as I don't rmember seeing anything about this during the install or anything!

So now my question is:

whereis the httpd started?? I looked in rc.conf and rc.local and couldn't see it - what's starting it? Or was that me running /usr/local/bin/httpd?

Do you need help?X

Next Q - how can I "delete" apache 1.3 and use my current apache2 installation?

Thanks,

Poff
