You really need to experience a wider variety of sparcs. This isn't feasible for all of them. On Sunday, January 19, 2003, at 03:58 PM, Theo de Raadt wrote:

There isn't room for 27k? Couldn't we do something like Todd suggested: On Sunday, January 19, 2003, at 06:07 PM, Todd C. Miller wrote: > Although since eeproom exists on the newly installed disk, one could
I really would like to have eeprom, and for sparc owners this is important. Things like: "auto-boot?=false" and "boot-device=/iommu/sbus/espdma@4,840..." and diag-device, etc. These would be really nice to set from the initial install, before rebooting or issuing 'halt'. While Andrew has a valid point, some sparcs dont really 'halt' gracefully. This could be cleared with a symlink quite simply, and doesn't even take up space.
