That is good. I came in from a similar route and have found OpenBSD to be an incredible OS. Most important is the documentation, it is extensive and accurate.

If you wish to create an install CD, then you will need to download the base packages and burn a disk that boots off of the floppy boot image. That is about all I know about how to *make* an OpenBSD CD.

If you have the bandwidth to download the base packages, then you might as well do it as an install. There are very good install floppies available in the OpenBSD mirrors. I am going to assume an i386 system:

ftp://ftp.openbsd.org/pub/OpenBSD/3.2/i386/floppy*

You only need one of the floppies, and the basic one has always worked for me. The mirror system actually works.

My first install was done off of an official CD (I was stuck on 33.6). Make sure you read the FAQ lots (you will hear this a lot on this mailing list).

Do you need help?X

In this case I'll refer you to this portion of it: http://openbsd.rt.fm/faq/faq3.html

The mailing list is great for the archives, and if you've done your homework. :-)

Keep trying with OpenBSD, you'll like it.
