Re: VPN with ADSL (dynamics IPs)

Check out dynamic DNS; I know I've seen a bunch of good material on-line, but I don't recall any of the links so you'll have to search for yourself
(maybe check dyndns.org?) . Basically, a dynamic DNS provider gives you a

domain, and you run some small software on your machine that sends a message to your provider whenever your IP changes. An automated script on the provider's side keeps their nameservers up-to-date and you can always find your machine at www.dynamicdomain.com. (Yes, they have open-source dynamic DNS clients that should be easy to install on or port to OBSD.) So instead of trying to remotely keep the IPs updated between two machines, you'll always be able to find them at gateway.dynamicdomain1.com and gateway.dynamicdomain2.com. Just set up the VPN connection between them.
(I've never done that with OBSD, so I'll leave you to figure that one out on
your own :)

Subject: VPN with ADSL (dynamics IPs)

Hi

I want to create a VPN between two openbsd gateways.

My links are two ADSL lines with dynamic ips.

I can do it or I need fixed ips ?

Do you knows a howto or tutorial over this subject.

Do you need help?X

What software I need ?

Thanks a lot.
