I guess the money was nice and all to have, but at what cost did it come by? If they were TRULY interested in the research/development projects the money was funding, then politics would have never really been a show-stopping issue (if that is the real reason). I would rather see an OpenBSD funded by individual users and companys with an interest in the technology anyways.

Funding is good for the project, we all agree on that....but where does one draw the line as to which parties are legit in their efforts to help the project, and which parties are not.

Or is money just money, and a "don't ask, don't tell" policy is in effect regarding the actual source of the funding....
