-current problems

I'm having some trouble with -current.

ifconfig halts my system. During the install, if I choose DHCP, dhclient loads, but my system freezes before it makes the broadcast. If I try to set an IP during install, it freezes after I enter the netmask. If I just try to go to a shell instead of the install and do:

ifconfig txp0 inet 192.168.0.250 netmask 255.255.255.0

it freezes. The same happens with a xl(4) card. If I install without configuring the network, and add a hostname.txp0 file, and reboot, it freezes when I reboot.

The other problem I'm having is with the drives. One of them was captured at the end of the dmesg I'm including, but the error is always something like the following:

I rebooted into single user mode to run `fsck -p`. Just before the fsck started I got:

I've been having the ifconfig error for at least a month on different -current downloads.
