Questions about sparc...

Hello,

I have a couple of questions regarding OpenBSD/sparc.

I have a SparcStation 10(32MB ram) with a SM40 mbus module and I have 2 SM51's(1mb cache).I would like to put one it the machine to improve performance.I have the latest rom version in the SS10 as well.

My question is this....Do I have to do anything before/after replacing the SM40 with the SM51 like recompile the kernel etc.Reason I am asking is I tried it and the machine boots normal. But when I login(or ssh,run man,run top,run ps,and halt the machine...etc. ) I always get kernel panics and the machine dies. With the SM40 the machine is rock solid.

I am relatively new to OpenBSD so I apologise if this is a dumb question.

I searched everywhere and I haven't found any info on this.

Thanks for any help in advance!!

Scott
