*SNIP* BTW, for the X newbies out there, the xf86cfg util works fairly well with VMWare, as XF4, IIRC, does include a vmware.o driver natively. If you do any tweaking, the docs say that the color depth has to match the color depth of the OS display you're running it in. If you don't, it gets messy. Resolution adjustments get a little funky, though. I've not explored all the options with that yet. The "VMWare Tools" (which are mostly perl scripts) binaries work if you install the OpenBSD VM as a FreeBSD machine (For VMW 3.0 and later) and install the FreeBSD emulation libs from ports. Supposedly you can get it to work with a dual-boot machine to where it's possible to run a native partition in boot mode as well as VM mode and the tools can detect which one is running and load the proper XF86Config file to deal with it. I've not tried it yet, but plan on reinstalling some stuff on the dual-booter at home this weekend, so if I get good results, I'll post back to the thread. Signing off, -- Joseph C.
