you missed the part where he disabled auvia. no sound driver -> no sound device.

do you really want no sound? kde should certainly have some knob to turn off sound. if it doesn't go bother them. or is there some problem with the auvia driver? kde should still have a no sound option, but a broken driver would be more interesting to openbsd.
