Problem with AT compatible USB modem

Hi there!

I'm quite new to OpenBSD, and I'm trying to make a DrayTek   miniVigor 128 working with it.

Maybe this is a tipical new user question, but I've looked into   the FAQ, searched many archives, but to no avail.

After a default obsd install (3.2) it doesn't see the modem   as a modem device, but rather as a generic usb device.

Can I somehow tell the umodem driver, that it should handle   it as a modem, regardless of the fact, that it's unable to identify   it as one? (I'm sure the modem is AT command set compatible.)

If yes, how? (Commands please, I need to get this working asap.)

  usbdevs -d says:
  Controller /dev/usb0:
addr1: UHCI root hub, vendor 0x0000
    uhub0
addr2: USB ISDN TA, vendor 0x0675
    ugen0

Tried on two hosts (different hw), same result on both.

Do you need help?X

  Many thanks for any help!

Regards: <Holi>

PS: There is a redhat driver for the modem (no src),

but I'd rather stick with obsd instead. :] Received on Wed Apr 30 15:17:03 2003
