 Mod_jk DSO module for Apache 1.3 is a module for the 1.3.x version of the  Apache HTTPd Web Server that connection Apache to Tomcat. It can be  configured such that Apache serves the static content and Tomcat serves the  JSPs and Servlets. Also can be configured to load balance multiple Tomcat  servers.
