Conflicting gettext w/PHP4

Hello All,

I'm trying to install PHP4 from ports. Going through dependencies, it found gettext-0.10.40, attempted to install it, and then failed when it saw that I already had gettext-0.10.35 installed (from previous dependencies).

I'd really like to just upgrade gettext, but I get fatal errors in any of these situations:

cd /usr/src/devel/gettext && make (with ports fetched as of mid-November) cd /usr/src/devel/gettext && make uninstall (trying this to get rid of .35) pkg_delete gettext-0.10.35 (get rid of this, then add the new one -- complains about dependencies)
pkg_add gettext-0.10.40 (get error about .35 already being installed)

How can I upgrade this, so PHP4 will work?
