Broken piece of PHP4

So after getting my issues with gettext-0.10.40, I went back to install PHP4. It went along for quite some time, before erroring out with:

I went ahead and updated ports to 3.2's patch branch, tried again, and got an identical error.

Is this some sort of problem on my end, or something wrong with the port?
