reports and comments on ports are always welcome, regardless of tree status!
Never. The entries will only be withdrawn if I asked specifically to
remove them by:

Your submissions are absolutely perfect and go through my perl and php scripts without a glitch. Others can use your submissions as an example of how easy it really is to submit something that is easy to read and understand for all concerned, hint, hint, nudge nudge, wink wink, say no more, eh eh eh? Some things that break my scripts include: inclusion of punctuation strings like #,$,%,& tend to break the rss validator that I use lack of proper sig line: "-- ", note the space after the two --, this can cause sigs to be included in "description" text. Pain in the butt for me. placing the fetch location after the project URL is anoying. Scripts aren't smart and they don't know which URL to use, so I have to intervene if there is more than one URL per message. putting more than one port in a single message means that only the first port gets put on the list automatically, the others I have to watch for. I'm working on a script to properly parse out inline patches. Attachment file names are not always coming across nicely with p5-MIME-Tols and I haven't figured that one out yet. anyway, http://infomatrix.ca/submit.php contains my latest thoughts on the whole messy issue. Thanks for asking. -- Liam Allen allenwc@shaw.ca it may be that your sole purpose in life is to serve as a warning to othersReceived on Fri Feb 28 12:53:50 2003 This archive was generated by hypermail 2.1.8 : Wed Aug 23 2006 - 13:43:41 EDT |
