I'm using his if_em patch
(http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=openbsd-tech&m=104651744920498&w=2) from the date it was posted and it works fine. Or at least I could not find any problems (handling about 40-60 VLANs on it with a moderate traffic, about 50-100 Mbps).

Before the patch I got those ugly
vlan4092: initialized with non-standard mtu 1492 (parent em0) lines which are quite nonsense on an interface which can handle jumbo frames...
