Any interest in implementing the POSIX asynchronous I/O facility in OpenBSD?

It has come to my attention that OpenBSD does not currently implement the POSIX asynchronous I/O facility (AIO). I am interested in persuing the development of such functionality, but do not know enough about OpenBSD to feel comfortable with leading such a project. If others are interested in bringing asynchronous I/O to OpenBSD, I would be willing to assist.

I am currently developing a prototype search engine, based on my undergraduate honors thesis, and would like to use OpenBSD. I figure, if I'm going to the trouble of such a project, why not use the most secure open-source OS available (given all the security issues with running a web site these days)?
