        1% - 10%? who gives a fsck? The same people who will bitch about that then probably run KDE and all sorts of bloated and putrifying wheel-reinvented-in-c++-or-java horsecookies - ridiculous! even 10% (which it ain't gonna be) is nothing for that kind of return. People piss away *more* than 10% of their machine's performance for ridiculous things all the time - Heck, even I do! I'm typing this in Emacs v 21... blocking stack overflows is important. if you care about 10% more than that, buy a faster machine.
