Hello tech:

Recently i got a old sgi indigo 2, now i'm looking the possiblility to port OpenBSD on it. before start working i need some help: (please forgive me if there are some stupid question)

  1. Where should my mips toolchains hosted? netbsd already had a mipseb toolchains, should i port this to openbsd first or just use netbsd as host system? or maybe i can download the binutils & egcs from gnu and compile on OpenBSD directly? If i have to port mipseb-netbsd, maybe the Makefiles became a nightmare, how can i resolve this?
  2. As i known, sgimips support ecoff & elf binary by prom. OpenBSD 'native' binary was a.out until 3.3, which branch should be better, current or 3.3_BASE ?

Any comment & idea will be appreciate.
