Thank you very much for this nice and helpful comment. No offense, but i've met "people" who were actually willing to "waste their time" on someone like me who "obviously doesn't know what he is doing". Perhaps you shouldn't write "people" when you mean to speak for yourself. Just a suggestion. That said, would you (or anyone else) mind explaining to me just what was so foolish about my approach ? As i see it, i did what is written in the isapnp manpage, and the isic driver is there, the kernel just doesn't know that it is needed for this "strange" (from the kernel's point of view) card with pnp-id SAG0001. What did i miss ?
